A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

This is the book following A Court of Thorns and Roses and if you haven't read it yet you should definitely read it first before reading either the second book or this review.

Roughly three months after the events of the first book we catch up with Feyre and Tamlin in the Spring Court where they are now engaged to be married. A priestess Ianthe is planning their wedding as Feyre can't seem to make herself take part in the festivities. She is suffering serious after effects of the events which unfolded under the mountain including excruciating nightmares which leave her shaking and vomiting every night.

Tamlins response to this is to cloister her within the house barely even letting her venture outside, never mind to visit a nearby village she wants to help with restoration efforts. In his mind he is keeping her safe however it is only making her feel worse.

Things reach a climax when Rhysand arrives to enforce the bargain he and Feyre struck under the mountain and he whisks her away to the Night Court.

While keeping this review spoiler free all I can say is this is my favourite book in the series so far. My opinions on certain characters were completely changed and I so admire how Maas is able to keep us in suspense as well as introducing a whole host of new characters in such an organic way.

I'd love to go into more detail and discuss all the ins and outs but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't already read it. Please let me know if you would like a more in depth analysis!
