The Twin Flames, The Master, and The Game by Richard Lanoix MD

As with the authors previous work this novel touches on many topics while still maintaining a coordinated story line. In this novel our main characters are Orfeo and Carina, they are described as "Twin Flames", two souls who have been together since the beginning of time and are merged in Consciousness. There comes a time when Orfeo is unable to find Carina and so he decides to visit the earth realm in search of her. This is where our story really begins and we learn of dark forces at work, namely "The Master" who is using dark forces in order to try and keep humankind imprisoned in the earth realm and prevent them from reaching Consciousness.

I thought it was really touching that Orfeo's love for Carina remained just as strong through the many lifetimes he lived on earth and the dynamic between them when they were finally reunited. There was a fair deal of character development which also helped to give us a true glimpse into how their relationship function which helped to add a touch of realism to what could have been a very ethereal read.

As I've mentioned previously the author has a skill for blending many complex themes into his novels and just some of those he touches on in this work are politics, religion and spirituality which overall help to form a shape to the novel. The writing style is again typical of the author which is quite philosophical and lyrical and overall very nice to read. There are quite a few unexpected twists throughout which I personally found quite gripping and definitely resulted in me finishing the book quicker than I had planned to.

This novel is definitely unique and I'm not sure quite what genre it would fall in to but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys books with a philosophical or spiritual edge or those looking to loose themselves in a story unlike anything they've read before.
